Floods are the most frequent type of disaster and occur when an overflow of water submerges land that is usually dry. Floods are often ca used by heavy rainfall,rapid snowmelt or storm surge from a tropical cyclone or tsunami in coastal areas.And this are some effects of floods in our environment,soil and bank erosion,bed erosion,siltation or landslides. When the floodwaters spread it can threaten lives,inundate propentries and businesses,destroy belongings,damage vital in fracture and prevent access to essential public services and one of the areas suffer from this disaster is our barangay,barangay Sanghay.It is located in Mati City,Davao Oriental.This area is surrounded by the sea and rivers in different parts of the place.
